Life at the Village

Fellowship, Worship, and Service That Doesn’t Stop at Retirement

Life is celebrated, worship is overflowing, and service is joyful.

The chapel is the center of Village life: a weekly prayer meeting, the Bible and mission conferences, and the place residents gather to pray for the world.

Home prayer meetings throughout the Village gather neighbors to pray over specific areas of the world.

Conferences

Three Conferences a Year

Three times a year the Village hosts a week-long Bible and mission conference with well-known speakers. For many in the community these weeks are the highlight of the year.

Prospective residents are encouraged to attend. The Village Manager can give you dates and help you plan a visit around one.

Serving

Service Continues

Residents of the Village continue to serve the Lord in their later years. There are plenty of opportunities for volunteer service at the Village and in many community organizations and local churches.

Some residents choose to do short-term service overseas with peace of mind, knowing their home is cared for while they are away.

“Our residents don’t just sit with their feet up. The retirees continue what they have spent their lifetime doing, serving others as long as their strength lasts.”

Where the Village Gathers

Meals, games, the resident mail slots, and the library with its two reading rooms are all in the Fellowship Hall.

A social committee organizes frequent activities through the year.

Staying active

Pool, Paths, and Shuffleboard

To help residents stay active, the Village has a screened swimming pool, an exercise room, shuffleboard courts, and safe places to walk and ride a bicycle.

“I love the lake and birds, but I especially love the feeling of a village of friends and the opportunity to be in a regular group prayer for the world.”
